Summary of Qualifications
Dr. Deborah King is a 20-year veteran in educational program planning, evaluation and fund raising. Dr. King earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Houston.
She completed a Master of Public Administration degree at Texas Southern University and a Ph.D. in education with a focus in evaluation and fund raising at Kansas State University.
Dr. King is a member of the UW DeKalb Advisory Board (DAB) and chair of the Community Engagement Committee. She also serves on the advisory board of Lincoln College of Technology.
Her professional memberships include the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE); the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP); the National Association of Youth Service Consultants (NAYSC); and the Atlanta Area Evaluation Association (AaEA).
